District0x is a network that serves as a group of decentralized communities and marketplaces called districts. District0x is made possible by Aragon, Ethereum and IPFS and joins a growing list of platforms designed to facilitate transactions and more. This allows you to create your own decent local market places and communities on the blockchain with the help of Ethereum smart contracts, everyone can implement a district in the network for free.
Joe Urgo is the co-founder and responsible for the operations, he is also the founder and CEO of Sourcerers.io. He also devotes time to exploring decentralized business models, along with symbolic governance structures. The other members of the team also have impressive experiences, including co-founders of technology companies.
The project team behind District0x intends to continuously deploy new districts as additions to the District0x network. Examples of districts are; Name Bazaar (marketplace) and Ethlance (supply and demand of employees and employers).
With DNT tokens, participants can be involved in a district and related decision-making processes. DNT tokens are used to join a district and participate in its governance. The number of DNT tokens used by a participant in a district directly corresponds to his or her voting rights in the district. These voting rights are used to participate in all decisions of the district. The number of tokens is limited to a maximum of 1,000,000,000,000.
