The crypto currency Waltonchain is named after Charlie Walton, the inventor of the RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology. The WTC blockchain platform offers solutions for today's logistical problems. And is therefore directly a competitor of VeChain. With Waltonchain technology, it is possible to store and read information remotely with RFID tags. These RFID tags can, for example, be incorporated into products such as clothing.
Waltonchain started in 2017 combining RFID technology and innovative blockchain technology. For example, there are many counterfeit products from luxury clothing brands that are difficult to distinguish from the original ones. By means of this chip, this is a thing of the past and the authenticity can be checked. In addition, it can also be checked when and where the bag was sold. Buying a brand item is thus becoming more secure and reliable.
The great advantage of Waltonchain is that it is not only a software company but also a manufacturer of hardware. For example, it designs and produces in-house Smart RFID readers. This distinguishes it from other RFID blockchain projects that outsource the hardware.
In total, a maximum of 100 million WTCs can be imported into the Waltonchain ecosystem.
