Status (SNT)

Status was created by Carl Bennets and Jarrad Hope, who worked together and partnered for six years on different software products prior to founding the network. They work alongside Status’ COO, Nabil Naghdy, who used to work for Google as its product manager handling Google Flights and Google Maps. Built on P2P or peer-to-peer technologies, Status is primarily a messaging platform that takes advantage of Ethereum-based dapps (decentralized applications). To fulfill its goal of efficiently fast-tracking Ethereum dapps’ mass adoption, Status has four distinct components: Incubate, Studio, Embark, Keycard, and Nimbus. Incubate focuses on supporting open-source startups in their early stages. Studio is a venue created specifically for those who want to improve their knowledge about dapp development. Embark refers to an easy-to-use development framework for dapps building and deployment. Keycard looks exactly like a card and is a vital tool for contactless transactions involving ETH, ERC-20 tokens, and SNT. Nimbus is for resource-limited hardware and embedded systems.
