About Casper

Casper was co-founded by Medha Parlikar (CTO) and Mrinal Manohar (CEO). Both have a strong background in technology, finance, and software programming. They aimed to build a future-proof blockchain where developers can build their own blockchain with modules according to their preferences. The idea behind Casper is that financial systems and transactions are best facilitated with transparency, decentralization, and permissionless systems. Transaction approval is decentralized through the validator network, which not only ensures higher speed but also lower energy consumption. Additionally, it is a scalable system. Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) enable transactions to be anonymously approved, enhancing the network's privacy. The blockchain operates with the CSPR token, which covers transaction costs and rewards validators. CSPR also serves as a governance token, allowing token holders to participate in future plans of the Casper protocol.
