Cortex is developed by Cortex Labs, founded by Ziqi Chen and Jia Tian. The goal of Cortex is to implement AI models and applications in a decentralized manner on the blockchain, enabling developers to create AI-DApps (decentralized applications) that utilize machine learning and other AI techniques. The Cortex Virtual Machine (CVM) is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and supports the execution of AI prediction instructions, in addition to the standard smart contract functionality available on the EVM.
