About IRISnet

IRISnet was founded in 2019 by the tech experts from Bianjie AI, a tech company based in Shanghai. The driving forces behind this project are Harriet Cao and Haifeng Xi, who have previously devised blockchain solutions for various healthcare institutions. Together, they decided to utilize their expertise to assist small businesses with blockchain. Another important component within the project is the company Tendermint, which provides a consensus mechanism. The goal of the protocol is to leverage multiple public blockchains to bring the power of decentralized, open networks to thousands of businesses. IRISnet is named after Iris, the personification of the rainbow and the messenger of the gods in Greek mythology.
