Nervos Network (CKB)

Nervos Network was founded in 2019 by Jan Xie and Kevin Wang with the idea of making it easier for users to use dApps, by combining the PoW algorithm with scalability and the ability to share data between layers. This layered architecture makes the network truly unique. The foundational layer, called the Common Knowledge Base (CKB), ensures secure and scalable transactions and smart contracts. The innovative Cell Model technology enables Nervos to efficiently store complex data structures and optimize transactions. Instead of only storing transactions, Nervos Network stores 'cells' that can contain intricate data structures, such as transactions and smart contract statuses. This aids in optimizing storage and scalability. Nervos Network also aims to provide interoperability with other blockchains and networks, facilitating the easy exchange of assets and data. The native coin of the Nervos Network (CKB) acts as fuel for the network, used for transaction fees, promoting security through Proof of Work (PoW), and encouraging network participation.
