Ferrari accepts Dogecoin as a payment method

The iconic car brand Ferrari is taking a bold and innovative step into the future. The car brand is joining forces with Dogecoin (DOGE) and now accepts the cryptocurrency as a legal form of payment in the United States. This is not the first time Ferrari has shown confidence in cryptocurrency. In 2023, the brand already accepted Bitcoin (BTC), but now it is opting for the popular memecoin.

Buying a Ferrari with DOGE

Car enthusiasts in the United States can now purchase an exclusive sports car using Dogecoin as a payment method. Enrico Galliera, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, has indicated that this decision was driven by customer and dealer requests. In addition, the acceptance of cryptocurrency is part of a strategy aimed at expanding Ferrari's appeal to those who have been successful in the cryptocurrency sector.

Continuing to accept cryptocurrency is all about the market success the car brand has achieved by allowing residents of the United States to buy its cars with cryptocurrencies. Ferrari therefore also plans to expand these plans to Europe.

The price of a Ferrari car remains unchanged. Even if the customer chooses to pay with cryptocurrencies, no additional costs will be applied.

Paying with crypto? No problem!

There was a lot of concern shared about the ecological footprint Ferrari would create by accepting cryptocurrency, but Ferrari is not worried about it. To reduce the typical volatility of cryptocurrencies, Ferrari has a cryptocurrency partner. This partner will ensure that the conversion from cryptocurrencies to fiat currency is made directly at the time of purchasing a car, thus avoiding the devaluation of a cryptocurrency.
