OAX aims to develop a sustainable digital ecosystem for the future, built on openness, trustlessness, and strong governance. The project is created and managed by the OAX Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on the development of the DeFi space. The team consists of Hugh Madden, David Tee, Ken Lo, and Dave Chapman. OAX was founded in 2017 to address the four main issues within blockchain: interoperability, speed, trust, and scalability. To reinforce this goal, the Notifs app was developed as a DeFi portfolio tracker. With this app, you'll receive the latest information available on the blockchain and in the public domain tailored to your portfolio, so you only get the information relevant to you. OAX Layer 2 uses state channels to enable fast transactions while maintaining the security of the project. It also utilizes a roll-up technique to bundle and process transactions off-chain. The OAX token is the native token of the OAX ecosystem and can be used to pay transaction fees, stake for rewards, and participate in the OAX governance process. Token holders are rewarded for providing liquidity to a DEX on OAX or for participating in governance.
