Secret Network runs within Cosmos, but does have its own consensus mechanism within their network. The network uses Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS). This means that delegators and validators check transactions and propose blocks. For the work they do, the nodes receive a reward in the form of SCRT tokens. You can set up your own delegate or validator within Secret's network to receive staking rewards. It is also possible to stake SCRT at Coinmerce, which is a lot easier. This is because at Coinmerce you can stake Secret Network directly from your wallet. We will then distribute new SCRT tokens to you as a reward for staking directly to your wallet. You could stake SCRT directly from your Coinmerce wallet. Before you can start with this, you will need to have SCRT tokens. You purchase SCRT on Secret's coin page. It is also possible to stake the tokens directly on this page. This is flexible staking, which means that the returns may vary. About Secret

Secret as a decentralized blockchain network wants to solve what seems to be an often-missed disadvantage in processing cryptocurrencies today: the lack of privacy. As an exchange to make the network permissionless, capable of being validated, and decentralized, a person who participates in it may need to reveal a lot of data, which Secret feels counterproductive. Thus, Secret has built a technology that uses encrypted data for various transactions, but it is scalable and applicable in many industries, ranging from gaming to healthcare and insurance. In 2021, the network launched SecretSwap in its mainnet, which is a cross-chain decentralized exchange platform and the Secret Auction web3 app, which may pave the way for Secret as a tool in NFT auctions. Secret had boosted its capital recently by $11.5 million when Skynet Trading and Arrington Capital, among others, acquired a stake in the network’s token.
