About Venus

Venus is an advanced crypto lending platform and synthetic stablecoin protocol running on the Binance Smart Chain. The protocol offers a simple solution for borrowing and lending crypto assets within the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Users can borrow quickly and directly with collateral, reducing transaction costs. XVS tokens can be used as collateral. Liquidity providers enable the lending of tokens and receive XVS tokens as rewards. Venus also allows users to create VAI stablecoins by locking at least 200% collateral in the Venus smart contract to ensure the stable value of the stablecoin. These VAI stablecoins are synthetic BEP-20 tokens that are pegged to the value of one US dollar. The XVS tokens, also based on BEP-20, are used for the governance of Venus. The management of this protocol is entirely in the hands of the Venus community. They can submit protocol proposals or vote on proposals submitted by other members.
