zkSync (ZK)

zkSync was developed by Matter Labs, a company founded by Alex Gluchowski and Vlasimir Baranov. They are experts in cryptography and blockchain technology, and designed zkSync to enhance the scalability and user-friendliness of Ethereum. zkSync also reduces transaction costs while increasing transaction speed to make Ethereum more affordable. zkSync utilizes zero-knowledge rollups (zk-rollups), meaning it processes transactions off-chain and then sends only a cryptographic proof of the transactions to the Ethereum blockchain. This significantly reduces the load on the Ethereum blockchain while maintaining the same levels of security and decentralization. It employs ZK Chains, enabling trustless communication and asset transfers between chains, leveraging the full spectrum of users and liquidity across the entire ZK chain ecosystem. zkSync allows for fast and secure access without complex passwords. You can log in with FaceID or a Passkey, reducing the risk of hacking. By automatically creating smart accounts, users experience a user-friendly interface. It feels as if you have access to all zk-chains with a single account directly from your app. The native coin of zkSync is ZK, used for paying transaction fees, activating staking, and participating in protocol governance.
