Chromia (CHR)

Chromia was founded in 2018 by Henrik Hjelte, Or Perelman, and Alex Mizrahi. They had previously collaborated on projects such as Colored Coins and Safebit. They also co-founded ChromaWay, a company providing blockchain solutions across various sectors like finance, real estate, and gaming. The concept behind Chromia was to provide a platform for developers to create a wide range of dApps. Chromia can be used as a public, private, or hybrid blockchain, depending on the user's preferences. The platform aims to enable seamless interoperability with other blockchains and networks, facilitating the exchange of data and assets between different platforms. Consequently, it's possible to add data such as tables to merge information, enhancing the understanding of data relationships. Due to these features, Chromia is popular for gaming, as multiple participants can engage in games simultaneously. Transactions can be processed within two seconds. Chromia supports various programming languages and provides tools and libraries for developers to build and customize dApps according to their needs. Each dApp operates on its own blockchain, known as a sidechain, and runs on a specific number of nodes. The CHR token is utilized for covering transaction fees, which in turn compensates the nodes. It is also employed as the standard means of payment within the Chromia ecosystem.
