0x protocol is an open-source protocol for the exchange of ERC-20 tokens over the Ethereum blockchain in a decentralized, cost-effective and fast way. The makers of 0x expect thousands of ERC-20 tokens from different DApps, in order to exchange them, we need a standardized and efficient system. 0x is aimed at building the tools with which this value can flow easily.
Founded in 2016 in San Francisco, at the time of writing, a core team of 26 persons is running it. Most members of the team are software engineers with one person responsible for operations and another design bill.
The 0x protocol had its ICO in August 2017 and started in December 2017. In the ICO they sold 50% of their fixed coin stock, which is 1 billion ZRX tokens for a price of $ 0.048. They have successfully raised $ 24 million from the ICO.
