iExec RLC (RLC)

CEO and co-founder of iExec RLC is Gilles Fedak. He first worked as a research scientist at INRIA, as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at San Diego and at ATER of the Université Paris-Sud before founding iExec. He also holds another doctorate in philosophy and computer science. The other co-founder and head APAC of iExec is Haiwu He. He was previously a professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, research engineer innovation transfer at ENS Lyon, co-founder of iRentCPU, research engineer at INRA and assistant professor at Hohai University. He also holds a doctorate in computer science. The iExec network consists of computing resource providers called iExec workers. If you would like to become such a worker, you must link your machines, after which you are rewarded with RLC tokens for contributing your resources to the network. IExec uses the proof-of-contribution consensus protocol PoCo, which provides consensus on off-chain computing. This allows external resource providers to certify the use of their resources on the blockchain itself. IExec also provides distributed applications on the blockchain, which provide secure, scalable and convenient access to servers, datasets and computing resources. This virtual cloud infrastructure can provide powerful on-demand computing services because it all runs on Ethereum.
