About Internet Computer

The Internet Computer blockchain was developed by the DFINITY Foundation, which stands for Decentralized Infinity and was founded in 2015 by Dominic Williams. The blockchain uses the ICP token. This has three purposes. Firstly, the token can be "burned" to be used as computational power. Secondly, ICP can be staked into the Network Nervous System DAO that manages the blockchain. This allows people who hold the token to cast a vote when decisions need to be made. Finally, the token can be used to invest, whenever Web3 services offer decentralized sales. This makes it a very versatile token.
