Marlin (POND)

Marlin is a protocol specifically developed for DeFi and Web3, providing a high-performance and customizable network architecture for other projects. Marlin describes itself as a network marketplace where various relay networks compete to validate transactions and move blocks for these blockchains. Relay networks are specific systems that transfer data between devices that are too far apart for direct communication. Blockchains can use relay networks to outsource some of their tasks, allowing them to remain fast and efficient. As an open-source project, Marlin aims to scale blockchains by improving communication between nodes. Many blockchains face scaling issues due to inefficient node communication. Marlin's ambition is to make Web3 experiences faster, more reliable, and safer by redesigning the network architecture behind blockchains. Current decentralized networks often accept performance sacrifices to maintain decentralization. With Marlin, this is no longer necessary as blockchains can use relay networks without sacrificing decentralization. This allows users of the Marlin network to access the most recent transactions and blocks from blockchains that are important to them.
