Tether increases accessibility through implementation of Aptos blockchain

In an effort to enhance accessibility and reduce transaction costs, the popular stablecoin Tether (USDT) has launched on the Aptos blockchain. This move aligns with Tether's goal of improving the usability of digital assets worldwide.

Under the new partnership with Aptos, Tether can take advantage of the capabilities of the Aptos blockchain, allowing for transactions to occur at significantly lower costs. This would enable transactions to be conducted at an economical price, paving the way for a range of applications, from small-scale transactions to larger, enterprise-level operations.

The Aptos blockchain has seen consistent growth and rapid progress. From January to July, the number of daily active users (DAU) rose from 96,000 to 170,000. In May 2024, Aptos set a record by processing up to 157 million transactions in a single day. The collaboration with Aptos will provide a platform for more efficient transactions with USDT, according to Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of Tether.
