About Rocket Pool

The decentralized Rocket Pool is an Ethereum staking pool that allows users to earn up to 4.33% APR by participating in ETH2 staking. This involves staking on Ethereum's new Proof-of-Stake network, which has been live since The Merge. With Rocket Pool, users can join the network by delegating their stake to an existing node or by setting up their own node for 16 ETH. In the latter case, they can earn rewards from the staked ETH and additional RPL rewards by staking RPL as collateral. RPL is the cryptocurrency of Rocket Pool. Rocket Pool is unique because it offers liquid staking, allowing users to benefit from an increasing exchange rate instead of having to increase their collateral. Rocket Pool supports "smart nodes," which are custom node software that allows anyone to launch a node on the network. The losses from underperforming nodes are distributed across the network, minimizing the risk of penalties for individual users.
