About SuperRare

On the SuperRare marketplace, people can trade digital artworks in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These artworks are created by artists within the SuperRare network, who then sell their artwork as NFTs over the blockchain. While there are many other NFT marketplaces, SuperRare stands out from the rest. It not only serves as a marketplace for NFTs but also functions as a social network for crypto art, giving digital collectibles transparent ownership certificates. The social aspect of SuperRare facilitates the valuation and context around the art objects in the market. Addressing issues such as centralized valuation, lack of support for artists, and a fragmented NFT ecosystem, SuperRare introduced "Spaces". This is an environment within the SuperRare ecosystem to determine the value of art and artists, hold auctions, and promote the sale of NFTs. During the first version of this project, SuperRare 1.0, artists were selected by the SuperRare team. Now that the project has evolved into SuperRare 2.0, there is widespread curation, and the project functions as a DAO.
